Bromborough

One of the few things that remain of ancient Bromborough is Bromborough Cross although even this is not completely the original. Edward I granted a charter for a market to be held each Monday and its location beneath a cross was in the hope that it would promote honest dealing. Today, the steps of the cross are the original 13th century but the cross is only a few years old having been presented as a gift by The Bromborough Society.

Not far from the station is Bromborough Golf Club.  Located at the heart of the English Golf Riviera, the club is considered by many to be the best park land course on the Wirral Peninsula. It is a challenging 18 hole course, offering the exquisite views and peaceful surroundings of rural Wirral. Playing from any of the tees provides a challenge for any standard of golfer.  The full championship course measures a total of 6547 yards and is a par 72.

If you are looking to go tenpin bowling with your family, friends or even if you are looking to arrange a night out with your work colleagues, The Bowl at Bromborough is the answer. They have 24 lanes for bowling, plus a full service Pro Shop, amusements including a dance stage, a diner providing freshly cooked food and a licensed bar.
