Heswall

Heswall has two main parts - the bustling "top" village with a wide variety of shops and restaurants, and the quaint "lower" village, which is protected by a conservation order.

The village offers views across the River Dee to North Wales and the spires of Liverpool's cathedrals can be seen on the horizon from high ground.

The Wirral Way follows the route of the old West Kirby to Hooton railway line and can be enjoyed on foot, by bike or on horseback.

Heswall Dales is an area of lowland heath offering superb panoramic views of the hills and mountain ranges of North Wales.  The heathland is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and in 1991 was given the status of Local Nature Reserve.
