Crewe Railway Station
Crewe Railway Station is a Cheshire Best Kept Station.
Crewe Railway Station won the Principal Stations Award in the Cheshire Best Kept Station Competition 2011.
Sheila Breeze, Virgin Trains’ Station Manager for Crewe, began her railway career at the station in 1998. Sheila said: "I am delighted that the hard work and enthusiasm of the Virgin Trains’ staff at Crewe have been recognised. We have a great team here and it has been a pleasure to lead them since I became Station Manager a year ago.”
In 2010 it was named Cheshire's Best Staffed Station.
In 2009, the station won the Customer Care Award for the exceptional service they provide to their customers as they pass througn this busy junction railway station and in 2008 Crewe won the Cheshire's Year of Garden Award for the garden installation at the railway station.
The opening of the Cheshire Lounge for First Class ticket-holders at Crewe in 2009 marked a significant improvement at the station, where floral displays have been welcomed as adding a dash of colour.
