In 2011, the station won the Youth Challenge Award in the Cheshire Best Kept Station Competition.

In 2010, the station won the Frank Roberts Special Award for the carried out by the Friends of Ellesmere Station supported by local company Veolia Environmental Services (UK) Plc.
