Macclesfield Railway Station
Macclesfield Railway Station is a Cheshire Best Kept Station.
Macclesfield Railway Station was named Cheshire's Best Staffed Station in 2007.
In 2007, thanks to Virgin Train's Manager Karen Grimshaw, Macclesfield Station transformed its platform appearance with the All Seasons Planter Campaign.
This work was supported by the Cheshire Year of Garden's Team at Visit Chester and Cheshire and the former Macclesfield Borough Council.
Karen said on receiving the award "I am extremely proud that Macclesfield has been named Best Staffed Station 2007. This is thanks to the support and enthusiasm of my staff at the station".
