Poynton Railway Station
Poynton Railway Station is a Cheshire Best Kept Station.
Poynton Railway Station was Cheshire's Best Kept Station 2007.
This was thanks to Glynn, the dedicated Northern Rail Customer Services Officer, and Chris Halsall who is proprietor of the Miniature Railway at the local Brookside Garden Centre.
Jamie Ross, Area Director, Northern Rail said: “We’re delighted that Poynton Railway Station has been recognised in these awards. It means our staff have been recognised too for the quality of service they provide to our customers".
Chris Halsall, said: “I am delighted to help my local station. It is the local gateway to Poynton and it is important we strive to make our stations more inviting”.
