Rose Hill Railway Station

Rose Hill Railway Station is a Cheshire Best Kept Station.

In 2016 Rose Hill Railway Station (in Marple) won the Transport for Greater Manchester Award. This was a new award established in 2016.

Previous awards have included:

            -  the Old Cheshire Award  in 2015 and 2014

            -  the Joan Moss Primary School Award in 2013

            -  the Big Society Award in 2012

            -  the Cheshire Community Award in 2011

The station has fabulous gardens and planters along with a welcoming library in the waiting room thanks to the Friends of Rose Hill Station.

Whilst the station is now in the Borough of Stockport, Cheshire Best Kept Stations recognises stations in Old Cheshire and takes its boundaries from Bradshaws 1907 Railway Map.

The Station is cared for by local volunteers from The Friends of Rose Hill Station.
